Endlich ein Update! - Kiss to Kill & Modern Angel (Attention: super picture heavy!)

Hello hello  everybody! :3

Long time no see! First of all: I hope all of you had lovely Christmas holidays and were able to take some time off, relax, spend time with your family, friends and loved ones. I'm sure I did!

Furthermore, I wish you all a (late) Happy New Year! May 2012 become a better year then 2011.
For me, the last year was quite a bad one, very stressful, emotionally challenging and health-wise a total catastrophe. :( I have high hopes for 2012!

Artwise, the last year hasn't been too successful as well. I barely managed to draw at all, mainly due to the time-factor, but also due to a lack of motivation and inspiration, and a crappy tablet.
But now, Santa has brought me a brand new Wacom tablet! XD OH THE LOVE! And I'm eager to try it out. So hopefully, I'll be more productive soon!

I also want to thank all of you who stayed with me during 2011! I'm still in awe to see that there are roughly 140 of you following this blog (well, more or less following, I guess!) I know I'm a horrible blogger who updates only once in a blue moon, but I have love for this blog, so I'll keep it up as long as there are still people who want to see it.

So thank you so much for putting up with me!

Anyways - as every year I offered Secret Santa gifts to my followers on DeviantArt and Tumblr, and I managed to finish 2 in time, a third one will come later on. And because it was obviously a secret, I couldn't show you an progress shots earlier. So - here's a gigantic art update!

Secret Santa Geschenkbilder / Art gifts

Hallo ihr Lieben! <3

Nach meine Weihnachtsabwesenheit will ich auch hier jetzt noch meine fertigen Secret Santa-Geschenke posten. Bei DA hab ich das schon am 24. Dezember getan, aber auf dem Blog komme ich erst jetzt dazu.

Um kurz zu erklären, worum es bei Secret Santa ging:
Secret Santa ist etwas, das es bei DeviantArt schon eine ganze Weile gibt. Es ist so ähnlich wie Wichteln, nur mit Bildern. Man tritt einer Secret Santa community bei, gibt seinen Bilderwunsch an, dann wird gelost, und man bekommt zu Weihnachten ein Bild von einer unbekannten Person geschenkt. Man selbst muss aber auch ein Bild für jemand anderen als Geschenk beisteuern.

Ich finde die Idee total toll - leider ist sie aber für meine Art von Portraits nich praktikabel, weil ich ein Stockbild (ein Photo) von der entsprechenden Person brauche, um damit arbeiten zu können - und wenn ich denjenigen nach einen Photo frage, ist die ganze Überraschung dahin! :(

Also mache ich seit 3 Jahren mein eigenes Secret Santa: Ich lasse die Leute in meinem Journal Bilderwünsche äußern, bei denen sie mir ein Stockbild verlinken, und dann erhält eine Person an Weihnachten als Überraschung ein Portrait nach Wunsch. In den drei Jahren, in denen ich das anbiete, habe ich es bisher jedes Jahr geschafft, 2 Bilder zu malen. So auch dieses Jahr.
Und so sehen sie diesmal aus:

Somit sind meine Gewinne verteilt! :D Ich mag die Weihnachtszeit - ich schenke total gerne und freu mich wie ein Schnitzel, wenn andere sich freuen!

Ich selbst hab auch bei mindestens drölf Gewinnspielen hier auf den Blogs und bei YT mitgemacht, aber leider nix gewonnen. Trotzdem war ich echt baff, wie freigiebig und spendabel all die Blogger & Blogettes zu Weihnachten so waren. Toll!
