Secret Santa Geschenkbilder / Art gifts

Hallo ihr Lieben! <3

Nach meine Weihnachtsabwesenheit will ich auch hier jetzt noch meine fertigen Secret Santa-Geschenke posten. Bei DA hab ich das schon am 24. Dezember getan, aber auf dem Blog komme ich erst jetzt dazu.

Um kurz zu erklären, worum es bei Secret Santa ging:
Secret Santa ist etwas, das es bei DeviantArt schon eine ganze Weile gibt. Es ist so ähnlich wie Wichteln, nur mit Bildern. Man tritt einer Secret Santa community bei, gibt seinen Bilderwunsch an, dann wird gelost, und man bekommt zu Weihnachten ein Bild von einer unbekannten Person geschenkt. Man selbst muss aber auch ein Bild für jemand anderen als Geschenk beisteuern.

Ich finde die Idee total toll - leider ist sie aber für meine Art von Portraits nich praktikabel, weil ich ein Stockbild (ein Photo) von der entsprechenden Person brauche, um damit arbeiten zu können - und wenn ich denjenigen nach einen Photo frage, ist die ganze Überraschung dahin! :(

Also mache ich seit 3 Jahren mein eigenes Secret Santa: Ich lasse die Leute in meinem Journal Bilderwünsche äußern, bei denen sie mir ein Stockbild verlinken, und dann erhält eine Person an Weihnachten als Überraschung ein Portrait nach Wunsch. In den drei Jahren, in denen ich das anbiete, habe ich es bisher jedes Jahr geschafft, 2 Bilder zu malen. So auch dieses Jahr.
Und so sehen sie diesmal aus:

Somit sind meine Gewinne verteilt! :D Ich mag die Weihnachtszeit - ich schenke total gerne und freu mich wie ein Schnitzel, wenn andere sich freuen!

Ich selbst hab auch bei mindestens drölf Gewinnspielen hier auf den Blogs und bei YT mitgemacht, aber leider nix gewonnen. Trotzdem war ich echt baff, wie freigiebig und spendabel all die Blogger & Blogettes zu Weihnachten so waren. Toll!

Nachträglicher Weihnachtswunsch bei Miss van der Hell

Darum also nutze ich meine Chance, sie bei Emily auch für mich selbst zu ergattern. :D Ich war auch serh brav dieses Jahr! *hust*

Hello darlings!

This is going to be a pretty much useless post on quite a lot of the stuff I bought or got as presents in the last few weeks. Beware - it's a lot. And I have not counted in things such as clothes or non-decorative cosmetics.
No art in here.

So, yeah, on with the account of my failing to try to spend less money.

This was a present from my aunt for St. Nichola's Day. :D Yeah, I know, it's a glass stone necklace from H&M - but she wrapped it so nicely! It looked really lovely!

A Hello kitty box which held chocolate cookies - I use it for some of my lipsticks now. :D

And Hello Kitty body spays in strawberry, sweet vanilla and bubblegum. There was a fourth one that smelled like some type of berry, but I left it at my mom's house. TBH, these aren't too great, the smells are quite fake and more suited for kids, but I loved the packaging. 

One of my newest babies: The Zoeva Very Croc brush set. LOVE IT! <3

Aaaand my other baby: The NYX Makeup Artist Box. 36 shades of shadows. 12 shades of glitter. 2 blushes. 1 powder. 3 contouring colors. LOVE!

 China Glaze: Ruby Pumps (182) - best Christmas nailpolish EVARRR!

Also nice (and a lot cheaper): P2 frosty polish from the Snow Glam limited edition. I don't know the real name of the color, I ripped off the enervating label that held the information and was glued to the cap.

2 Sleek i-Divine palettes: One in STORM, which obviously looks a lot dirtier than the other - because it is mine and I'm using it basically every day, I love it to death, and the other one is an ORIGINAL i-Divine palette. I didn't use it because it is a Christmas present to my mom.

SELIG im E-Werk

...war echt ein Erlebnis! :D

Ich war mit dem Musiker gestern auf dem Selig-Konzert im E-Werk in Köln, und es war einfach super! Selten so eine gute Liveshow gesehen!

Am Anfang war ich ja noch ein bisschen enttäuscht, weil wir eigentlich zu den Kings of Leon nach Frankfurt wollten, aber leider schon alles ausverkauft war, bevor wir Karten sicher konnten, und die Preise bei Ebay waren echt eine Zumutung. Daher haben wir uns auf Selig verlegt - und es war die beste Wahl EVER! <3

Sie haben total viel aus dem neuen Album gespielt, aber auch einiges von  "Blender" und "Hier"  und eine Reihe alter Hits, die einen Oldschool-Fan wie mich natürlich vom Hocker gerissen haben.

Hier noch ein paar verwackelte, schwammige, weil mit einem Handy gemachte Bilder, Zeugnisse eines wirklich tollen Abends:

Das Publikum war auch echt gut drauf und hat ordentlich abgefeiert, woraufhin es 2 Mal Zugabe gab - zu allerletzt noch das unglaubliche "Ohne Dich" *schluchz*

Awww! <3Selbst für einen erklärten Noise-Jünger wie mich ein Erlebnis!

Farbspass (iceberg WIP)

Das Mädel auf dem Bild mit dem riesenhaften neon-farbigen Makeup-Hintergrund hat heute ein ebenso neon-farbiges und mit Makeup übersähtes Gesichtchen bekommen. XD

Ich arbeite immer mit mehreren verschiedenfarbigen Arbeits-Hintergründen, um auszutesten, wie die Farben auf verschiedenen Hintergründen wirken - und es ist immer wieder erstaunlich, wie anders ein und dieselbe Farbe wirkt, wenn man die dahinterliegende Ebene verändert.

Hier nun das Gesichts-WIP mit dreierlei Farbhintergründen - türkis, pink und dunkelviolet (mein Favorit!)
Ich bin aber noch nicht sicher, wie ich den Hintergrund im Endeffekt lassen werde. Ich finde alle drei ganz nett.

In English:
Today, I've coloured the face of the girl for the picture with the neon makeup background massacre I've shown you earlier. I'm always surprised by how different the same face can look depending on the colour of the working background. It totally makes or breaks a pic.
So here you have it: three different backgrounds in turquoise, pink and dark purple (my fav!).
I'm not 100% sure yet which one I'll keep in the end, I kinda like all 3 of them... :/

ASU rocks my Zombie Socks!

Dies ist ein sinnfreier Post mit ein paar Tragephotos von meinem tollen neuen Zombie-Shöart von der großartigen ASUrocks!

Die ASU macht nicht nur tolle Bilder und Online-Spiele, neeeein, sie macht auch schöne Designs für T-Shirts, Pullis und vieles mehr.

Vor allem aber auch die SHIBUYA UNDEAD COLLECTION, aus der auch mein awesommiges Shöart stammt!

Pink Sugar Background Massacre - massive WIP picture post!

Hello dearest readers! :D

This is going to be a massive picture-ridden post on some new thing I'm currently working on.
Those who have been following my art on dA for a while know that I HATE backgrounds with a passion. I basically never do them. :(
But when I decide to do backgrounds - I will make those HUMONGOUS neon massacres, crammed full with colourful stuff. Let me give you two examples from the past:

Eat Me, Drink Me (2008): background + finished picture.

And now: Sugar Covered Icebergs (working title, don't ask!): background and NOT finished picture, obviously: 

So, yeah. do you see some kind of pattern there?

God, I shouldn't be spending up to 10 hours on kitschy backgrounds.
But I love them..... <3

Gewinnspiel: Glitter is my Crack

I don't really take part in many of those giveaways that appear in the blogs I read, but this one I HAD to take part in! :D

I'm a makeup lover as you all might know, so I'd love to own the eyeshadows... but seriously, it's the jewelry that got me! I want it sooo bad, especially the necklace! <3

Big WIP / sketches update

Hello! <3

I just wanted to give you an update on what I've been working on lately, so here are some bits'n'pieces of my current work!

This is a WIP of the newest part of my makeup-goddesses series - and obvious to everyone who watches makeup videos on Youtube, this is the amazing  XSparkage!!!

This is a mini-collection of quick 5-minutes-sketches I made of the beautiful Natasha Lillipore aka SilentDoe, an amazing fashion blogger/model. There will be more of these and I'll make some sort of a collage-thingie with them, maybe in combination with a small portrait. We'll see.

Now, please try to guess which one of these two versions of the same pic is the newer one! (God, I hope you're able to tell!) 

Aaaaand this is somewhat of a challenge for me myself: I redid an old picture of mine, a portrait ID from 2006. I talked to the lovely girl in this picture, RaineAngel, and remembered that this picture I've done of her was basically the first portrait I really liked.
So somehow I felt challenged to give it another try... and that I did! :D
And let me tell you - I was surprised myself by how much of a difference 4 years of practice can make. Yeah, I know, I haven't really painted out her hair in the new one, it's just a sketchy mess, and the shirt is not shaded (yet)... but still, I think the difference is quite visible.

Morrigan WIP

Im Moment hab ich wirklich irgendwie die inspirierte Phase, und ich bin bereit, das bis zum Letzten auszunutzen.
Hier also ein Shot von der Anfangsphase eines neuen Bildes - der Morrigan.

Die Morrigan ist eine Figur aus der iririschen Mythologie. Ihr Name beduetet überstzt "Die Mahrenkönigin", also die Königin der Nachtgespenster oder Alpträume. Sie gehörte zu den T'uatha Dè Danann und konnte als schöne junge Frau, aber auch als hässliche alte Hexe in Erscheinung treten.
Am meisten interessiert mich an ihr aber der Aspekt, dass sie - genau wie ihre Schwester Badb - als Krähe oder Rabe Gestalt annehmen konnte. Als Schlachtkrähe fand man sie oft auf dem Schlachtfeld wieder, wo sie das Fleisch der Gefallenen fraß.
Die Morrigan geht wahrcheinlich auf die keltische Göttin Rigani zurück, die als Götterkönigin galt. Mit ihr verwandt ist die kymrische (also walisische) Rhiannon.
